Have you noticed the new PokerPro hold’em poker tables? The very first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about a couple of weeks ago when I took a brief getaway with my mom to the WinStar Gambling den in Oklahoma.

As I waited for my name to be summoned at the live tables, I observed how the other men and women at the PokerPro tables relate with one another. It was quite interesting to say the very least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there were no poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the real live encounter was stale. Maybe I was the only one that recognized this, except I did notice the gamblers in the table had a dull quality to them. The reason behind this might be since there was no human discussion with the dealer, the environment was rather boring and the players looked tired. It was nearly as if I was viewing a live variation of an online hold em poker room rather than sitting with hot blooded humans. It was a little creepy and I continued to have flash backs to an episode of The Next Generation and the holodeck malfunctioned.

Since the waiting time for the reside tables was over an hour, I decided to observe how the game action was and to understanding this new holdem poker gaming technologies. Right after wagering a few hands, I truly felt like I was wagering at residence. The lack of activity at the table was the primary reason. I prefer to stack and shuffle my chips, and mix my cards about. None of those things are feasible at these digital tables.

Another thing I observed was how the program dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a good deal of hands at the PokerPro table and discovered that the wager on was a lot like an online texas hold’em poker website. That might have been just a coincidence, but I discovered it to be quite odd.

After betting a couple of rounds with this "new texas holdem poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m far better off wagering hold’em poker online at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den had been to acquire rid of the reside poker tables, I think they’d loose a whole lot of players.
